!!!!!!! I was like :-o and the fact that they shot the movie like an actual conversation. You actually feel for Ally.
I just saw the film. I?m really inspired by her work and artistry. Gaga truly is a gem. She gave a vocal and acting performance. She and Bradley?s chemistry was so palpable. It?s a great film. I have to sit and watch the original with Judy Garland. BTW, Gaga was cast perfectly for this. Her vocal quality very much has the essence of Ms. Garland.

This is very much like Gaga?s "Bodyguard". She?s really reintroducing the concept of being a titan music and movie star like the Garland?s, Whitney?s, Cher?s, etc.
i just got back from seeing it.... it was good.. really surprised gaga showed us her titties on camera
but all in all it was good... i can see a best picture nod and maybe best male lead for brad.... while gags was good i dont think she should get a nomination but i think she will... she acted but she didnt really ACT i still saw her as "lady gaga" not as Ally...
but brad did AMAZING. i believed everything about him being a druggie and alcoholic. he should get a nomination.

I disagree. It was a transparent and earnest performance. Bradley was exceptional. They both were.

I think she was nude in AHS.
If they campaign enough she can get an acting nomination. Best Song is definitely a lock.

so you feel she was able to separate herself from the "lady gaga" persona? i just didnt buy it. this is a movie about singing and performing so she already has that part down. same when i saw her in AHS.. i just didnt see a separate person i just see her... but maybe thats cause im a fan of hers but yeah. she did GOOD but yeah not great to me

This movie has to win Oscars for Best Picture, Director, Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor is a toss up between Sam Elliott and Andrew Dice Clay. It was just that good. You will experience a multitude of emotions from being happy to being pissed off and you will definitely cry a few times.

You?re going to feel for Ally. It?s inspiring me to get back to this screenplay that I was working on but stopped due to writers block. I watched the movie a few days ago at the cinema and I was really surprised by Gaga's performance. Her acting was really believable in most scenes and the music was top notch. Her performance of "I'll never love again" was truly the showstopping moment for me - I have never heard Gaga sound so beautiful/angelic and strong at the same time, I could feel every word she was singing. This is her bodyguard moment tbh and I somehow like this girl again...
on a sidenote: that one "mm-mmm mmm" run she does in the middle of the second verse of "I'll never love again" was straight up Whitney, sounded like it was inspired by a part of the song "I have nothing".

Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper's 'A Star Is Born' Soundtrack Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart
Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper?s A Star Is Born soundtrack debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, giving Gaga her fifth chart-topper and Cooper his first.
The set, which was released via Interscope Records on Oct. 5, starts with 231,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Oct. 11, according to Nielsen Music -- the biggest week for a soundtrack in more than three-and-a-half years. Of Star?s overall starting sum, 162,000 were in album sales.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new Oct. 20-dated chart -- where A Star Is Born debuts at No. 1 -- will be posted in full on Billboard's websites on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
Of A Star Is Born?s 231,000 units, most come from album sales: 162,000. The rest of the units are comprised of SEA units totaling 37,000, and TEA units equaling 32,000.
Lady Gaga?s Fifth No. 1: A Star Is Born -- the soundtrack to the film of the same name starring Gaga and Cooper -- gives Lady Gaga her fifth No. 1 on the Billboard 200. She previously led the list with Joanne (in 2016), Cheek to Cheek, her collaboration with Tony Bennett (2014), ARTPOP (2013) and Born This Way (2011).
Gaga?s Fifth No. 1 Album This Decade: Gaga now has five No. 1 albums in the 2010s -- the most among women. (She was previously tied with Taylor Swift, who has four leaders in the ?10s.) Overall, six acts have tallied at least five albums in the ?10s: Drake (with eight), Justin Bieber (six), Future, J. Cole, Lady Gaga and Kanye West (all with five).
Biggest Week for a Soundtrack Since 2015: A Star Is Born lands the biggest overall week for a soundtrack in more than three-and-a-half years. The last soundtrack to score a larger week in total units was the Fifty Shades of Grey album, which debuted at No. 2 on the list dated Feb. 28, 2015 with 258,000 units earned.

A Star Is Born also claims the biggest sales week for a soundtrack since Fifty Shades of Grey?s arrival, as the latter sold 210,000 copies in its first frame.
Of A Star Is Born?s first-week sales of 162,000 copies, digital downloads of the album totaled 118,000, while 42,000 were on CD and 2,000 were on vinyl LP.
A Star Is Born Is Already the Third-Biggest-Selling Soundtrack of 2018 (After One Week!): After only one week on sale, A Star Is Born becomes the third-largest selling soundtrack of 2018. With 162,000 sold, it trails only The Greatest Showman (with 1.26 million sold in 2018, of its total 1.35 million, as it was released in 2017) and Black Panther: The Album (with 223,000).
Third No. 1 Soundtrack in 2018: A Star Is Born is the third chart-topping soundtrack on the Billboard 200 in 2018. It follows Black Panther: The Album (three nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1: Feb. 24, March 3 and March 17-dated charts) and The Greatest Showman (two weeks in a row atop the list: Jan. 13 and 20).

Lady Gaga's 'A Star Is Born' Hits All the Right Notes: Movie Review
Notably, 2018 is the first year since 2009 in which least three theatrical film soundtracks have led the tally. In 2009, there were four No. 1 soundtracks in total, but only three were tied to a theatrically released movie: Michael Jackson?s This Is It, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Hannah Montana: The Movie. (The fourth No. 1 soundtrack that year was Fabolous? Loso?s Way, which was a home video release.)
The film A Star Is Born earned $94.2 million in its first 10 days of release in the U.S. and Canada. The movie premiered in theaters on Oct. 5.
A Second No. 1 for ?A Star Is Born?: Gaga and Cooper?s A Star Is Born is the fourth big-screen take on A Star Is Born. It follows Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson?s 1977 version, a 1954 iteration with Judy Garland and James Mason and the original 1937 film with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March.
Gaga and Cooper?s A Star Is Born soundtrack is the second Star album to lead the list. Streisand and Kristofferson?s own A Star Is Born soundtrack spent six weeks atop the list (Feb. 12-March 19, 1977).
