I just saw the film. I?m really inspired by her work and artistry. Gaga truly is a gem. She gave a vocal and acting performance. She and Bradley?s chemistry was so palpable. It?s a great film. I have to sit and watch the original with Judy Garland. BTW, Gaga was cast perfectly for this. Her vocal quality very much has the essence of Ms. Garland.

This is very much like Gaga?s "Bodyguard". She?s really reintroducing the concept of being a titan music and movie star like the Garland?s, Whitney?s, Cher?s, etc.

i just got back from seeing it.... it was good.. really surprised gaga showed us her titties on camera

but all in all it was good... i can see a best picture nod and maybe best male lead for brad.... while gags was good i dont think she should get a nomination but i think she will... she acted but she didnt really ACT i still saw her as "lady gaga"  not as Ally...


but brad did AMAZING.  i believed everything about him being a druggie and alcoholic.   he should get a nomination.

I disagree. It was a transparent and earnest performance. Bradley was exceptional. They both were.

I think she was nude in AHS.

If they campaign enough she can get an acting nomination. Best Song is definitely a lock.

Judy?s was a remake too. The original came out in 1937.

so you feel she was able to separate herself from the  "lady gaga" persona?  i just didnt buy it.  this is a movie about singing and performing so she already has that part down. same when i saw her in AHS.. i just didnt see a separate person i just see her... but maybe thats cause im a fan of hers but yeah. she did GOOD but yeah not great to me

It was amazing. Everyone was good in it. Including Dave Chappelle and Andrew Dice Clay slayed as Gaga?s father in it. This movie has to win Oscars for Best Picture, Director, Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor is a toss up between Sam Elliott and Andrew Dice Clay. It was just that good. You will experience a multitude of emotions from being happy to being pissed off and you will definitely cry a few times.
