As much as I hate her, she TOUCHED (again touched) on something valid.
I've seen MANY white gay people compare their struggles to the civil rights movement.
As for the other mess she's trying to throw out there ...

I don't like this Gay vs Black mess
I feel like Gay Black men are always excluded from both groups when it comes to this. People act like all gays are white and all blacks are straight.

I see how you're torn, I feel the same way when it comes to discussions like these.
I know one thing, I'm gay but I cannot stand a white gay person saying their struggle to get married is in any way comparable to my ancestors being lynched for sport.

I'm just saying, in this INSTANCE, she brought up a valid point.
a ann is only sayin this because it benefits her right now
she and a lot of those black lives matter activists niggers feel the same way.
that's why a lot of them can't stand deray. their own homophobia won't let them get behind am intelligent gay man leading the movement.

Meh, it's a point that's been brought up before by other pundits and people on here as well. If anything, she's no better than the minority groups she's bashing by using the black civil rights movement to push her own narrative.
It's kinda like my friend's dad who now hates the muslims for their views on the gays and women. Like gorl, your views on both are no better :dead:
Not here for this bigot trying to make a point in our favor. She just happens to hate gays more than she hates blacks.
While the struggle is not the same, I agree, I'm not here for a "OH, MY STRUGGLE IS BIGGER THAN YOURS!" mess.
Let's just agree that this country has the blood of many different groups of people on its hands. Native Americans, Africans, Gays, Asians...etc.
Actually, gay people used to be subjected to electroshock therapy, put in mental institutions, arrested just for being who they are. Did you know that until 2001 there were sodomy laws in place just for gay people. Yes, up until nearly 15 years ago, a gay man could be arrested for sodomy for no reason at all. Even now, in some states you can still lose your job just for being gay. Gay people were raped and even murdered just for being who they are. There are actually parallels between the civil rights movement and the gay rights movement. Please research and read up on gay history and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. There even gay conversion therapy where parents would take their gay child to a therapist and said therapist would strap them in a chair and force them to watch videos of naked women or naked men to turn them straight. Until the 1970's homosexuality was considered an actual mental illness. Let a lot of us would've been around in the 1950's and 1960's we would either be in a psych ward or dead. This is true stuff that I'm speaking of. Transgender people even had it just as bad. Watch the movie Boys Don't Cry with Hillary Swank about the true story of Brandon Teena. Hell, does the name Matthew Shepard ring a bell to some of you? If not, use google to your advantage and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

No it's not about whites/blacks. It's the same struggle no matter what race they are. The Stonewall riots is a prime example: You want to know who actually was one of the first people to fight the police back that night in 1969? A black gay man dressed up in drag as a drag queen. So it's not about race. I'm saying that the civil rights movement and the gay rights movement are very similar. We as gay people are classified as a sexual minority just like transgender people and even bisexual people. So it's not about defending white people at all. Some people are dense.

FYI: Creole is a combination of African (usually by way of Haiti or other Caribbean islands), French, and and Native ancestry. It's not looking to a "French ancestor" and deciding to speak French. It applies to the descendants of these free people of color, like my great great great grandmother.
If I choose to learn and use the language it's my choice, since it kinda is my heritage and my family history. Creole is a blended culture and ancestry. Not a race. :plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop:

Both the LGBT+ community and black community have been through some terrible shit but centuries of slavery across the globe and a monolithic oppression and degradation of African descendants is just a tad more despicable, me thinks. In fact, I'm willing to say no group of people has gone through worse treatment then black people.
Ok, maybe Jews, but even then...
I just don't think a white gay is going through the same struggle as a black gay. We can stand together for the same rights but at the end of the day that blonde, pink skinned, lisping queen is a few steps ahead of me in terms of outlooks.

You'll do anything to defend the whites
No it's not about whites/blacks. It's the same struggle no matter what race they are. The Stonewall riots is a prime example: You want to know who actually was one of the first people to fight the police back that night in 1969? A black gay man dressed up in drag as a drag queen. So it's not about race. I'm saying that the civil rights movement and the gay rights movement are very similar. We as gay people are classified as a sexual minority just like transgender people and even bisexual people. So it's not about defending white people at all. Some people are dense.

I find it quite ironic that you brought up Stonewall when not too long ago you were doing backflips to defend the movie being whitewashed :nowgorl:
?!!!!
Im confused
He was defending the whitewashing of the stonewall and their reasons FOR doing it :uhh:
'Gays don't want blacks joining their cause' 'Black people are homophobic'
QuoteThe main people who should be fuming are drag queens because they were the ones who fought the police back at the Stonewall. That's the actual truth of it all. The Stonewall riots shouldn't even be having a racial tendency to it anyway. Let's focus on what the Stonewall riots were about instead of bitching and moaning over every little thing. I'm sick of this race shit to be fucking honest. Let's get along not everything is going to pander to everyone.
QuoteNot when blacks are the most homophobic ones out there. I understand why gays don't want to make them apart of their agenda.

I don't like this Gay vs Black mess
I feel like Gay Black men are always excluded from both groups when it comes to this. People act like all gays are white and all blacks are straight.
Therein lies the problem the civil rights movement wasnt for whites to begin with so no need to align themselves with it (because the equality was already there for them)
Gay marriage was never a strong black movement to begin with the movement was started by whites because whites started to feel a level of opression and of course that just isnt right so gay rights can safely be referred to as a white people movement simply because whites were the main ones feeling the sting of it
Blacks are too shame based to boldly proclaim that their black ass on top of everything else is gay and want to have a marriage with same sex on top of that we got huge ass fish to fry in the being black in america department still so bullshit like a gay marriage of course is not a hot button issue
The two movements are not connected
So the analogy u made although untrue "rings true" in the grand scheme of things
Modernday gay blacks who would like to get married are only piggy backing off of the strong push within the white community for gay rights
Not because of blacks and their civil rights movement or blacks and a gay rights movement
Truth is gay rights wasnt an issue untill whites felt sometype of way
When daquan was fuckin hakeem and they thought it was so good they could stay like that forever there wasnt much support
When dan and peter was fuckin and some thought it was kinda a mess there was a major spark and outrage and outcry about not being fair and whatnot
So no need to align with civil rights movement cause......no contest
