"Cancel culture" isn't new; it's been happening for ages. It's just been recently given a name. And a lot of people who have been canceled probably deserved to be because of something stupid, hateful or ignorant that they said. Some have been unfairly canceled, though.

I love Kelly, but what is this all about? People actually do have the power and inevitable authority to cancel people. She's more than welcome to consult the Dixie Chicks about that, for example.  :receipts:

Yes some cancel behavior goes too far
but how many people didn't take responsibility for fucked up things? In most cases it is pure karma.

Ellen's employees were complaining first, not random viewers.

Actually when people come together to support a cause, we most certainly do have the authority. The elite crowd would like us all to think we don't have any power, but if someone is a racist, pedophile, or an evil bitch then their ass will be cancelled.
