You're grouped Bey wrong, she was never in a trinity with Brit and xtina, She was their opening act with DC, then she went solo when their careers took a Hit.
The right grouping is Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Ashanti

NOPE. I've already consulted the Bey's
they want her with Xtina and Brit ... not no damn Alicia and Ashanti
now if you want me to add an all nigger option, with Alicia, Ashanti, and Ciara then I will
Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki
Eek tough choices

Whit, Mariah and Celine >
Patti didn't start popping until the 80's.
It was more like Aretha, Natalie Cole and Gladys.
Madonna, Beyoncé, Janet >>
Kim, Foxy, Nicki >>
Aaliyah' nem
The other categories are too interchangeable imo.
Page 2 ... something a Reek thread could never see
:scrumptious:
Jhene, Summer and SZA would be the current/new R&B girls I guess
Based on the thread title, it would have to be Whitney, Mariah and Celine
Aretha stood on her own if u ask me. PERIOD.

Your post has bits of truth in it for sure, but Beyoncé, like Aretha, kinda stands on her own IMO
Ashanti's reign was too short

Not true Patti was really never huge commercially outside of Labelle and they weren't huge either... She had 1 big crossover song (on my own). Patti's fame is bigger than her success... She really was never an "it" girl

Impact and everything else... They are the biggest and must successful people on this list
Edit: wait nevermind...I don't know bc madonna, paula, & Janet might be more impactful and successful... I can't decide

I know. And that was in the 80's.
I was just saying if there was a trinity, it would be Aretha, Natalie and Gladys. At least in the 70's. But like Rig said, Aretha stands on her own.

They are cultural hits... Even Patti acknowledged in interviews she was never a big chart success like Gladys, Aretha, and Diana... Those are her own words

cultural hits sell over time tho... but if you're talking first week mess then I'll give you that lol
I voted for Madonna, Paula and Janet... more so just for Madonna and Janet and their overall influence on pop music and culture.
They broke down barriers.

Aunt Patti has hits, but she doesn't have HITS like the others. She didn't get her first crossover hit until she was in her 40's.
She really became a household name in the 90's. She used to stay slaying an awards show or Oprah performance.
Madonna, Paula And Janet. But Cardi, Doja And Meg are the newest trinity!
Patti blew up in the 80s. But that VOICE can't be denied. She is up there with the greats.
There should have been a separate category for Toni Braxton, Mary J Blige and Faith Evans.
Of the ones posted I choose Whitney, Mariah and Celine.
