Keke is TERRIBLE, yet at the same time it worked. I was more so laughing at her, not with her.

She's a dyke in the film.

And maybe that's part of the issue too. I just can't take Keke seriously. She's good comedic relief but not really in the intended way. Something about Keke is so low budget to me.

It's a really good, we'll acted and filmed summer thriller. Simple minded people won't like it. None of Jordan Peele's work is for simple minded basic people who never watch indie films. If you are only into certain kind of Hollywood fare you won't like it.
