It's something to threaten him with IMO as a last resort if U KNOW he holding out  but I wouldn't actually file it

And I wouldn't want them thinking being in jail is a part of normal everyday life . Which is what happens a lot of times .. it becomes normalized in a lot of black families when children experience someone so close to them being behind bars for an extended amount of time .

It wouldn't be so much about NOT punishing him for his mess , but more about thinking how his incarceration would affect the children. Emotionally and just in regards to the way they see the world.

If he happens to end up there for another reason I wouldn't be crying tattoo tears for him but I don't think I'd make it my business to put him there .

I'd be forced to think a bit  further than the immediate satisfaction of seeing him punished for trying it.

Well the logic I was addressing and pushing back on  is "well if he ain't gonna pay either way id rather see him behind bars as he doesn't pay!!!"

If we're talking about a man who's not gonna pay either way, i don't see the sense of potentially traumatizing kids and normalizing imprisonment for them all just to have the satisfaction of seeing him behind bars.

$0 paid >>>> $0 paid and ur kids thinking it's normal everyday life to be shacked up behind bars cuz that's where they daddy at .
