I travel frequently alone internationally

Rule of thumb, travel to countries that speak your language if you are not familiar with them. It just helps you navigate better. If it's a country that speaks other languages make sure that English is common tho in the areas you'll be staying

Also, if you travel alone, make sure it's a safe country, without any travel warnings

I'd also say that if you're on the lgbtq+ spectrum, to only travel to countries friendly to this.

May personal fav countries that I've traveled alone to-

- Turkey
- Morocco
- Spain
- France

I've traveled with friends to Peru, Argentina and Chile and they're def doable if you don't speak Spanish.

Thank you! Would you say Turkey is doable for English speakers? How about being gay over there?

I've heard North Korea is great for solo travel

Solo travel is the tea. Not having to make any compromises >>

I've done it a lot in Asia. Pretty easy to meet people

'ology

I've only gone to Canada alone and I had a great time. Being able to do what I want when I want was so chill, but I don't mind doing alot of stuff alone.

Turkey is amazing and safe. Just avoid taxis in Istanbul. They are like the mafia there. Stick to public transport.

There are loads of gays and tranny there too. There are even gay saunas and massage spots.

!!!! I've heard of people traveling solo in Japan and were completely fine.

Amazing

Japan is very safe too.

As a Black person the only countries I would be wary about traveling to alone are in Eastern Europe, Russia and South America. And countries with very high crime rates.

Istanbul yes, but don't expect rainbow flags and openly gay establishments. And you'll likely need yo be more reserved in these areas if that makes sense

Resorts cities along Mediterranean (some)

I'm not sure the rural/countryside parts of the country are. I doubt it as turkey still leans conservative.

I would recommend Istanbul one of my fav large metropolis's in the world

There are Africans living in Istanbul and they seemed pretty integrated

Also saw quite a few black tourists in Istanbul
