Guys this is normal especially when people are trying to cut corners and save on a tight budget. We kinda touched on this conversation in that thread about Jennifer Hudson EGOT.

it cant be that normal if taraji recognized it was a problem.

having food on set is like a bare minimum.

im no one's millionaire and could have a lil something catered every day if i had 15 people in my home for a while.

nice lil finger sandwiches, chips, juice, bottled waters, fruit, veggies n dip....
like....something to show you're interested in making sure they're taken care of, even in the smallest ways

does't have to be caviar and personal chefs on deck

i can understand someone being offended if that's not provided

It sadly is. If you think Taraji was being driven to work for Hustke & Flow you are sadly mistaken. Not every set will have food either.

i'd expect a 100 million dollar production to have food .

and if its the norm for there not to be, the norm needs to change

Who said that was the original budget? Take Oprah and Steven out of the equation what kinda of budget do you think they got now? It's nice that Taraji is using her clout to cater to her castmates I just hope they turn a profit. And this will all come up when she's asking for a raise for her next film. Taraji is top bill here I hope it works out for her.

The name of the studio is kinda  irrelevant. It all comes down to budget, and how TPTB chooses to handle the money. A lot of times they asked talent what could they go without and they vote on it.

You're right though. This shouldn't be the norm and could be easily fixed on the cheap by TPTB.

they had good reason to expect that. this isn't some high school play rehearsal

and even a lil high school rehearsal mess would probably have "refreshments" for the gorls.

Lol so true. But that just isn't the normal way in Hollywood.  It's too many cooks in the kitchen, and backs to scratch going through the system.
