They probably didn't know anybody heard what they said when they said it lol. Also Babyface is still friends with them till this day so either he never told them that he was offended by their words or they already squashed their issue

Babyface is still very close with Toni, even did a whole duet album together and Toni sued Laface for a bad contract and won 20 million dollars.  So just because they're cool with babyface doesn't mean it isn't true imo
