It's soap, it contains bases, of course it will dry you out. Any soap for that matter lol, it's kind of part of the definition.

Just, massaging it onto my face. Dried me out and even stung a bit.

u can't apply it directly to ur face or body. You'll literally tear ur skin up. Make some suds with ur hands or a cloth first then wash.
