I agree. Anytime there's a child involved I tend to look at the family situation, etc.
It's all about what they allow to be "normal" in the household. What's shocking to us may just be another day in a child's house.
I would have been HANDLED if word ever got back to my house that I was talking to adults disrespectfully as a child - and there would have been very little room for excuse.
