in Florida we all go to Grad Night (all the Disney parks and closed for seniors) and we meet all the Floridian girls and have sex in bathrooms  :letsmessfag:

it says academic year and it's April doesn't school end in May?

this was obvious.

nnnnnnnndddddddd

BRockaBaby

Academic year not calendar. School year is almost over for just about every state. May/June and they're done. So it's not that bad.

Florida schools are closed for the rest of the academic year as well. We typically end in May so 🤷🏾‍♂️

I wonder, will students have to repeat the same grade once school re-opens? how will that work?

I know the seniors are PISSED!

No prom, no graduation ceremony, no senior trip :uhh: all that planning and anticipation gone to waste

the gorls paid their Senior dues in December=-January. The parents better ask for their money back I know that  :kii:

Bitch id be jumping for JOY

ACK

Hhhhhh

Yeah

I woulda been like whatever in high school. College is where I'd be pissed cause I heard they aren't even reimbursing the girls who paid for the graduation fee and regalia and stuff at some schools

They are just postponing it

This unfortunately means job loss for those educators and educators who depend on the after school programming as part time work. Wow. The times.

Yeah lol

We did Cancun

I think it also depends on the school and the area. I can't see any school in Compton or watts for instance having a school trip to anywhere lolZ

This was expected but hearing it is... woo!

So much uncertainty and I don't think our education system is prepared. I also don't see us going back to the schools in September in NYCA either, something is just telling me a second wave is going to put us in this position again. Virtual learning has been disastrous for middle school, all testing has been cancelled and everyone will fall behind grade level worse than where they're already are. The catch up in the next fiscal year is going to be challenging as fuck and I'm already over it.

Some afterschool programs are considered essential. if you work at a decent non profit with coin, some places are able to keep their programs up by running online enrichment. This was not an option for me at least until last week, so I've been in wtf mode since March - but still with a job.

If principals and admin value their workers they'll find a way to look out for their people.

That's encouraging to hear.
