It literally was worth a thousand words. And I would have never been able to make a solid connection without this evidence.

My aunt (moms sis) expressed the same thing. When I told her I took the test (months ago before I got the results), she said we weren't fully "African American" based on what she knew. And I'm not gonna lie, I luv my auntie but I looked at the phone like :udontlookok: is she OK? Why would she say that? My aunt's a highly educated woman and the last person I'd expect to be saying some self-loathing mess like that.

But now that I've finally really begun to put the pieces together this week, she was right. She was really excited that I found it all out, and bragged about her being right, saying that she's been saying this for years. But she still gave me a stern reminder that at the end of the day, to remember a white cop is still gonna see a nigga.
