Boomz

Alexandria is my kinda gal personally but we?d be handing Trump a second term if someone like her is his opponent in 2020!

Centrists and/or Independents would not vote for her

I prefer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over Pelosi. She said everything that Pelosi should?ve said in response to Trump?s bullshit last night when she was on Queen Maddow?s show.

Nancy can't say the things Ocasio-Cortez are saying because then the Democrats would never stand a chance of winning another Presidential election. Politics isn't all about appealing to your core base of supporters.

Well the first glaring lie that I noticed was the politics is not about appealing to your core base of supports. We literally have an idiot with no political background as a president who got there by galvanizing his core base of even bigger idiots, racists, and bigots. He maintains power and a cult following by appealing to his core base.

At one point in time we would have never thought that someone like him would be president. Especially going up against ppl like Hillary Clinton, yet here the fuck we are.

I think folks shouldn't be so quick to say what will be a win for democrats in the future. Its the same mess they said about Bernie only to turn around to say he would have beaten trump if we hadn't elected Hillary as the primary candidate.

Ppl are tired of the same ole shit, the more progressive the better bby.

Trump's base makes up 41% of the voting population. That is NOT enough to win a Presidential election. He won because he was VERY good at convincing people not to turn up and vote for "Crooked Hillary." He also convinced them that he was a rich, successful businessman who could somehow make them rich and successful too.

The midterms proved that the people have begun to see through the bullshit. The coalition of Independent voters that he was able to bring to the fold have completely abandoned him. He has a very loyal base, no doubt. But that wouldn't be nowhere close to being enough to win him re-election.

What the Democrats don't need is a repeat of what happened to the Republican party and the Tea Party movement. They can push progressive agendas without alienating a significant portion of the party. You can't only cater to the more progressive elements of the party.

And there's no guarantee Bernie would have beaten Trump. A lot of Hillary supporters wouldn't have shown up for Bernie, just like a lot of Bernie supporters didn't show up for Hillary.
