Also, that means absolutely nothing.  Whitney's "signature song" is IWALY and we all know that's dolly parton's song. One of celine's signature songs is All by myself, etc.  It doesnt matter where a song originated it matters what u do with it. I dont listen to anyone but Xscape's who can i run to. I'm Every Woman is WHITNEY'S song as far as I'm concerned. The list can go on and on

i honestly think GODly is the type of artist where her "signature song" could be debated a bit.

i can see some people saying her signature is "friend of mine", then others saying "you shoulda told me", then some saying " as we lay".

she's not like a GODni where the bottom line is pretty clear and u can just say "unbreak my heart"  and shut the whole conversation down instantly.

im honestly kinda drawing a blank myself as to what her "signature song" would be and im a lifelong stan sfsffsfssfsf
there's so many POWERFUL and very meaningful songs she's released. i would even say "its gonna rain" is a signature mess for her too.

it's all about how you're defining "signature song"

is this just about numbers for GODly? if so that's easy, we can say her biggest solo song is "friend of mine".

if thats ur definition of "signature song" then you're right.

toni was more of a pop artist, so i can see many people comfortably concluding that her "signature" would be her biggest song with the best numbers - UMH. Her goal was to appeal to the masses.

GODly is different . Her career was different. Does that not make sense?
