Which is a statement she made before its official release. So it's not like she was back pedaling after numbers came in.

She went left field with this single. Period . That was her intent. End of story tbh

Whether the song itself should be categorized as "risky" or "left field" based solely on specific pieces of instrumentation could be argued all day - which would be a dumb argument btw. But I could hear artistic gamble in the song and that's exactly what Lucid shared in here . Like ...
