I guess I'm still just not understanding which is why I haven't gotten vaccinated yet.

if the vaccine doesn't make you immune to the virus, is it all just reducing the intensity of symptoms if you do get the virus? That's it, right?

Its all that.  The INTENT is for u not to get it but nothing is 100%, right?  They can't guarantee that u wont get it but atleast do ur due diligence and get vaccinated.  Also, if u do still get covid, the whole process is much easier. A light cold is what someone described to me after being vaccinated but still contracting it

the vaccine lessens your chance of contracting the virus by boosting your immunity against it. it's like swimming with a life vest. you could still drown, but you're much less likely.

Not sure if you're talking about me and not sure why you're so pumped up about the subject. But if you are referring to me, my questions were genuine and so was my response. There's a lot of mixed messages about the vaccine and what it does. To my knowledge even President Biden misspoke about the vaccine giving you full immunity from getting Covid and he was fact checked. So my questions were genuine.
