i mean lets be honest.  the fact there is a book coming,  the music rights are out there now.  Its VERY much possible, with or without the families approval that a movie could happen.

I remember when Wendy was stanning for R Kelly and then in the lifetime movie portrayed Robert and Lili as some high school sweethearts or something. It was cute and adorable! She was definitely trying to protect Bert, it was disgusting. I am glad Zendaya decided to not be involved out of respect for the family and queen. 

However I also feel when the family would be involved we still wouldn't get the full picture. It's obvious they have been hiding some mess when it comes to the crash or are in denial about the R Kelly thing. I know it must be difficult to hear about the trauma she went through and was probably not even able to express what happened, even to her own family.
