let's remember .. brandy is an ACTRESS. She is playing a part.   Also she more than likely isn't writing her lyrics as they usually have someone else writing the songs in situations like this but let's  say she was, Eve is there and also swissbeats is producing the music and such. I mean it does look corny. But so did Star and I tuned in every week, even before Brandy joined the cast. Empire is corny as hell but was a ratings monster the first 3 seasons.

And as far as Brandy's rapping goes, I think we can all agree she's good at it but she hasn't had many good "rap songs" so I can understand why people are kinda weary

Seeing her in Chicago was such a surreal experience... a dream, truly!
I remember someone on her team at the time mentioned that IF she were eligible to be put up for a Tony, she would've been and would've won... and I believe it! She was PHENOMENAL. She was Roxy.
