It is not about letting Aaliyah rest or not..it's about R Kelly getting convicted. Currently Aaliyah is Jane Doe #1 in the lawsuit and it's important because the marriage certificate and false ID is evidence in the case. The tour manager threw Robert under the bus and said he was there when they got married. This story is another piece to the puzzle to prove this man groomed and assaulted several young girls and also there is a male victim. It's no longer rumors and gossip, it's a real lawsuit.

But because Dame was working with R Kelly at the time she had to tell him something. She encouraged him to be in the video because he deserved to get credit/attention for his work, but she also made it clear that he needed to stay away. And people like Jay continued to work with him..even when Dame said he was no good.
