In hindsight, this song shouldn't have flopped so hard.

It kinda slayed, and still does.

Where did it peak on the charts? Honestly i feel like her name hurt her a bit. People couldn't say it and didn't want to

It's still a running joke in certain spaces  :dead: makes me think of Frank Ocean pivoting from "Lonny Breaux" and this fairly new Artist named DIXSON that Beyoncé is now working with. The latter made very little noise until he changed his name and altered his brand a bit.

I wonder if anyone ever suggested that to her back in the day

It didn't even chart on the Hot 100, but it made onto the bubbling under.

Crazy how it kinda had all the ingredients for success at the time (T.I., Polow, Sean, hot girl doing urban), but it flopped hard.

I think your right about the name, it's too damn long and no one knew how to say it.

She should have just went by Nicole or switched it up a bit.

The Only BLACK Kalmyks

why did i come in here thinkin it would be this

the way kwee abandoned that disco ball and pulled owt the stripper pole so quick :omf:
Project started: 2014 Wrapped up: 2024

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated that only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants exist worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

I know she was PISSED they put her back in that group and then used half of her solo mess for the PCD album fdsjnfsdlsdfnsfdfss

This performance was actually good:

The song itself is lacking something though.
It was no surprise to me that it flopped. :trannyjblige:

I think Chilli's version sounds slightly better. The chorus is somewhat memorable, unlike Nicole's

omg  :uhh: Not it didn't even chart back then :dead:

Was the same PCD machine behind her? I can't fathom this happening back then. Now, bubbling under is a lowkey success unless you're a big name. That definitely flopped

I like the song to this day Tbh

that Chilli mess is AWFUL. Nicole did the beat justice.

and I was just watching that performance, she kinda ate.

this shoulda POPPED harder. a Top 40 mess at least.
