Where there AWESOME performances by a black actor last year? just because there were some roles played by black actors doesnt mean SOME have to be nominated for the sake of "diversity".

what i don't understand is all the strong african americans voices talking about self love and pride, yet the community don't honour their movie/music nights with as much reverence, rather they vehemently demand white recognition from white entertainment institutions. that is after all what the grammys and oscars are.

all ethnics get a look in, but are not who those institutions are catering to/for.
