Which is why I asked if it was even a big deal considering it's on a Monday but apparently observed on Sunday :unsure:

Because our Thanksgiving always falls on a Monday, most families have their dinner on Sunday and use Monday as a recovery day as opposed to having it on Monday and wrapping up early because they have to work in the morning. 

 Makes more sense tbh. GODnada>>>>>

Well I think it makes more sense to have off Thursday for Thanksgiving so you can have a 4 day weekend. 4.5 if you count how early everything closes on Wednesday beforehand.
