I would love to see black actors and musicians of prominence in the entertainment world supporting Afro-centric events more. It's like when they get to a certain "status", they want to act like they're too good to attend the NAACP Awards, or they're too good to perform on the BET Awards or the Soul Train Awards, or they're too good to walk those red carpet events. And by doing that, they encourage the public to do the same. Fans constantly on social media shading BET programming. I'm not saying it's top notch, but maybe it would be better with stronger support. Nothing wrong with winning an Oscar or not, winning a Grammy or not, but don't forget where your support started, because it sure wasn't "Hollywood"
