im honestly shocked it hasn't sold more

my damn mess

During her prime, Ashanti was more of an album seller than single seller. Plus, labels prefer to push the album than a single during those times.

She came from the era where the albums sold more than singles...they were lots of hits back then that weren't multiplat which is so weird considering the amount of times you heard these songs all over the radio 🤷🏾‍♂️

United Nations Barbie 🇺🇳

Streaming is the reason songs are plaqued up so much. It was extremely difficult to get any plaque before.

FAMÈ

This isn't surprising. Most of the 00's girls weren't selling multi platinum singles even if it was #1 for weeks.

IDK, Robyn's Back!!!🥂

Nine

I'm not too surprised.

It was kinda rare that singles went multi-platinum during the CD singles era.

But congrats Shans.

yea

and in the early 00's the #1's and singles in general were more radio driven & people weren't buying physical singles as much which is why a lot off the 99-2003 hits haven't really sold jack shit tbhon

Or whenever iTunes became big. I think Usher's Yeah! Was the first big digital seller.
