I'm not saying the vaccine is bad or questionable , I'm questioning the tactics .

waving money in front of disadvantaged people to make them do something will never sit right with me . Ever . Don't care if it's for a vaccine or asking them to turn a trick .

I don't like it . And I think that's the bottom line for me personally

Yes but you have to understand the reason as to WHY they are doing this.
It's either these struggling families suffer even more with medical bills and missed work because of Covid OR they get $100 and a potentially life saving vaccine.
They want to make this virus go away as soon as possible and if it means paying people who can't afford the time off work because they're sick or taking care of someone who is sick, or their already disadvantaged children missing important schooling, or just simply can't afford medical bills and costs...then I don't see the issue.
It's the lesser of two evils.

There's nothing predatory about this.

Low-income, marginalized and racialized communities are getting infected with COVID more.

So yeah, anyone who needs $100 probably SHOULD be getting themselves and their children vaccinated.

Maybe if there was more data on how these vaccines have worked with children i wouldn't question it . With loads of time to truly measure its effectiveness, monitor side effects in younger populations etc ...

or even if it was $100 being thrown at adults when it's already been proven that the vaccine is safe and effective for certain age brackets

But something about this just doesn't sit right with me .

This vaccine for kids is brand spanking new and we don't know a shitload about it yet.

Some Parents who are desperate for cash will definitely forego that process of research and learning and grab the money . There's something wrong with that to me . Call me crazy

It's the same vaccine. It just wasn't approved for kids of a certain age.
