she does sound rough. maybe its on purpose though, cuz I dont think they would put out this imperfect vocal otherwise

I doubt it, but w/ age and pregnancies it can alter the voice. She also doesn't sing a lot so its proab not in the best shape or as developed as it should be.

i feel like they dont let her for the queens song cause naomi isnt that type of singer maybe?? 

i only say that cause on GLEE amber riley said in different interviews when they recorded they had her hold back on alot of songs and not GO THERE cause thats not what they wanted for her character.

I think it's a bit of both, they probably don't want Brandy wailing all over these songs, but she stopped singing like that a while back (Begging and Pleadin). This song and Somebody's Son are the best indication of how she sings now. I love it.

Omfg, the cover i never knew i needed! This song fits her perfectlly. And i can't believe how shes still showing us new sides of her voice...the last few lines she sounds like a different person! Never heard this tone variation before.

Which is interesting cuz i think she did way more in the TwoEleven era than she does now, and, In studio, Brandy don't even be running like that IMO.

There are so many singers i can think of that "do too much" and she doesn't come to mind
