It was also shown the music he used before and during his actual festival contributed to a lot of the people fainting and feeling unwell.
They were using low vibrational high frequency music non stop, and it's been shown to increase anxiety, heart rates, fear, headaches and eventually blackouts.
Now add alcohol, drugs, heat, loud noise and dumb ass overexcited fans this is the result.

there should be an age requirement introduced at these types of events

the way this whole "astroworld" thing was presented/marketed didn't help either
....all the graphics, the theme park feel to the concept, i can totally see kids wanting to go

and maybe the parents feeling OK bringing them there because on the surface it gives such a jovial, fun vibe

but there's def a feeling of darkness in there as well which really showed its ass at that festival.
this cover always gave me a juxtaposed tea...kinda crazy how it's actually played out in real life.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which is obviously intentional on his part

:omf:

the industry is SICK

Astroworld was a real theme park in Houston. It was a Six Flags mess.

That's why it has that vibe.
Yeah astroworld is a real thing - he used it as part of his concept

And the juxtaposition is crazy

it literally looks like those parents and kids are walking into the pits of hell on that cover . As the other kids jump happily with popcorn in their hands

I don't take the artwork as serious tho because it's probably a concept by LaChapelle.

The lyrics about getting injured at the show and stories about fans/security getting hurt at his past shows is more telling to me.

MESS

People are very dismissive when these things are discussed, but if you're at all familiar with voodoo and mess on this level, it's not shocking at all. And it's not some secret organization IMO either  :dead:  it's very much right in front of our faces.

I think both things can be true to be honest.

It all feels very intentional

NOTHING about that image looks friendly or inviting to me

:plzstop:

It literally looks like a Stephen King tea and this wasn't a Halloween themed festival, so

that's what I was saying

Not many people would look at that cover and read much into it, nor is it something that could be used in court

But IMO it's very reflective of what's happened - almost like a foreshadowing . Very interesting to me

!!
A lot of the chanting used in rituals are based on tone, vibrations, pace and pitch and repetition.
Not saying he used vodun here, but using frequencies to influence emotion and mood in the human brain is an actual thing.
I remember Amerie saying something about music being so powerful and was talking about vibrations and frequencies when she was talking about recording an album in one specific frequency.

people thinking nothing of it could very well be the point. Definitely interesting to me as well

And the artwork used is twisted.
Yall remember the pale demon thing from that movie "Pans Labyrinth"? The demon with its eyes in his palms that ate children? :dead:
He had that image put in his shows
It's a weird creepy juxtaposition between something that was originally meant for children to have a good time and hell
Who comes up with shit like that as music art? :plzstop:

:ohwow:

she is so interesting to me btw, but YES!  Omfff i can read about this kinda thing all day. Jhene is very much into frequency as well, and very aware of the good and bad influences of it all based on how it's explored and executed.

Annie

I think being controversial, the darkness and being a rebel has been very successful for him. Especially with teens and young adults. And during lockdown this fortnite concert was such a smart concept because people wanted to have fun and were stuck inside their houses. And now people got a chance to go to the concert in real life and all that energy (of being free to have fun again) also could have played a part in people just getting so caught up in the  moment..

Annie

I think a lot of people were really desperate to see the show (less likely to say 'whatever I'm out of here'). The fans who believe getting hurt is part of the experience because everyone is a 'rager' lack empathy (it's also a brand problem). Also when you dance on an ambulance you are so immature. Plus people also might have assumed people got ill because of drugs (there are reports about not knowing the severity and people in the crew/Drake assuming it was drug related as if that's not as bad..I guess that will be your 'own fault' and part of the experience as well)

its a very clever cover .

I think when a lot of people think "evil/darkness" , super obvious things come to mind . Dark clouds, mean looking characters , GRRRRR!! etc

Not children with popcorn at an amusement park. The cover is very slick but I clocked tea from the moment I saw it. It immediately came back to my mind once I saw the news of a child actually losing their life in this astrworld mess.

Not saying this is some well thought out plan or anything cuz that would be a stretch but it's just .... creepy af

Some kids even said it was their first time visiting a festival..people didn't know what they signed up for. I think if you have never been in a crowd like that it's also difficult to know what's dangerous. Plus the people got stuck very early on, without places to escape. The 30 minute timer definitely had an effect on the crowd..they didn't use the screen to warn people and control the crowd. They didn't have professional security, no AED's and enough people who knew CPR and the right technology to communicate in that noise. I think as far as organization there were already a lot of safety problems and missed opportunities.
