They were the bubblegum pop group that was initially compared to Abba. I used to watch them on the BBC music tv shows for kids. Later on S Club took over.

I believe there is a documentary or doc series about why they broke up. Basically the lead singer H (the blonde guy) secretly had a relationship with the manager. So he was treated like the golden boy. And when they were on tour with Britney he didn't have to travel on the bus, he was on the private flights with her.

"We toured America and Canada on that tour bus, that was our touring hotel," said Lisa Scott-Lee. "H didn't join us on the tour bus though – he was with Britney Spears on her private jet."

OH wow ok thats good to know.  not private flights! lol . i remember s club 7 .. they are british too? they had a few cute songs.  I wonder why steps never tried to come over to the US or did they?

They went on tour with Britney for Baby one more time in 1999 and broke up in 2001. I don't know if they ever got a chance to promote in the US.
