Fast food workers will always get a pass for not being happy and chipper as they perform their duties in my book. Long as they're not being overtly disrespectful.
They are worked like crazy... once they're done fulfilling ur order they will be pickup up a mop and broom to clean up the restaurant... manning the drive thru window ... cleaning shit stains out of the toilets .... All for 7 bucks an hour, and no worthwhile benefits .
I encourage people to watch the "Checkers & Rally" episode of Undercover Boss (it's on Hulu) and really get a glimpse of what they deal with and how they are TREATED before placing expectations of cheer and glee on them.
I wanted to jump thru the screen and strangle that curry laden manager .
If anything I'm impressed when I see those who are super happy upbeat IN SPITE OF what they deal with in that type of role.
