I get what u mean but I wouldn't say we "allowed" it....that kinda pushes a lot of the blame onto us which I don't think is fair with all things considered .

those are forces beyond our control so there's no way for us to give permission for it to influence us in some way or not . Many times that's inevitable. Especially in the past days where being "woke" wasn't an actual trending thing to be .

A lot of times it's just about conforming for survival. And when u know how rare it is for someone who looks like you to make it where you are and u feel ur spot is threatened ... human emotion and that instinct of survival is bound to take over at some point .

Not really. It was actually a whole thing that the media pushed .

Like whole articles in newspapers directly pinning them against each other and saying Naomi was shaking in her boots at the newcomer  etc.

It wasn't a figment of Tyras imagination. Whether Naomi actually felt threatened or not is another story .  Only she can actually say that for sure .  But it was a thing .
