a lot of people depend on truck driving to pay their bills and actually enjoy doing it.
and also computers malfunction sometimes. they freeze. they're not perfect.
i know humans make errors as well sometimes but this isn't as flawless as they're making it seem
they're not doing this in the name of public safety. they're only pushing facts about how safe it is so many people won't rush to try and get it shut down
this is basically the trucking industry's version of the mcdonald's kiosk.
if this goes widespread each company that implements it needs to be CLOSELY monitored and regulated as they do so
only the best, most expensive software/systems ...and yes price matters if you're talking anything tech. a macbook pro is gonna perform better than a dell.
no cutting corners to save a few dollars. reusing tea that is well beyond the time of replacement .
that's the mess that sent planes flying into oceans before the FAA started cracking down.
if they wanna get cute and edgy...and take real jobs from actual humans in the process...
make them spend the coins to join the club.
