Well to be fair to xtinct, she did have a whole Spanish album and has always touched on a Spanish mess throughout her career......kinda like rih........but not as consistently as Rihanna, because Rihanna touched on her background like almost EVERY album in some way

Jlo has been a proud Latina from her very 1st album and released spanish albums, spanish singles,  and embraced her heritage as well..... since album 1
She was probably the one that STARTED the Latin train tbh because they all came out in like 98/99. This wasn't sumn that was going on for years and she just hopped on during the wave

It really could be debated as to who started the Latin explosion era .. I honestly don't think it started with jlo. And usually trends dont last for years and years lol it pops off and people try to get on Quickly and make a coin before it fizzles out and people move on to the next. Thus the word "trend"

GOD-lo definitely benefitted from the Latin explosion big time. That can't be argued . I honestly don't think there's such an explosion right now for xtina to really cash in on, unless im missing something
