i feel the best thing to do if u just feel ur not getting thru to someone is to let it go and move on.
ive learned how to do that.

sometimes who's "right" and "wrong" is not a matter of fact, but rather perception which is sometimes affected by misunderstandings.
if that person's perception is "im right", that's their reality. if ur perception is "they're wrong", that's your reality.

and that's what it really comes down to....

unless someone's saying 1+1= 3 or something else than can literally be totally proven wrong with a snap of a finger.
