I think a lil 2 week tap on the wrist is fair. I have a feeling that ABC wants to keep Whoopi but just needs to let everyone know they don't stand behind or excuse what she said in any way .

This ultimately is a business - not Disneyland where we can all show up to work, say whatever comes to mind while we're on the job no matter how left and wrong it is... and no one gets upset or canceled behind it. There sometimes will be a consequence for pushing your edgy thoughts out to the masses.

This really isn't a whole bunch different than people DESCENDING on Chilli with lashings when she said "all lives matter" during that interview

I mean I understood she meant no harm and was just  a lil ditzy and ignorant in regards to how ALM had been used ....but nearly no other Black person was tryna hear that.
