I actually don't think what she said was that offensive at face value. As a black person I can see how she used her own experience with being black and looking at a jewish person and nothing thinking they are a different 'race' but in reality Hilter felt jews were a inferiors race

The Jewish people in the holocaust were white.

That's partly true .

Jewish genetics are a mix of Eastern European (Russia Lithuania etc) and Middle eastern .

There are many Jews who are mistaken for Middle Eastern , Indian (from India), Hispanic etc .

They are not purely "White" . I'm talking about Jews with actual Ashkenazi heritage stemming back to the Middle East

And then there are those who ARE purely White. And look it. None of those distinguishable "hook" noses and no curly hair and/or Jewfros.

The fact that many people can SPOT a Jew when they see one (and actually be right with their guess) because of their noses and hair should tell you something

Especially considering noses and hair are two huge identifiers of race across the board for everyone.

Many Jews can pass for and are actually "White" but many are not and cannot

You could see the difference actually. Also because in our country blue eyes, blonde hair is typical 'white person'. And like I showed with the pictures they were studying anatomy to determine who is Jewish.

Plus someone in the comments made a great point about her saying it was about 'white people fighting with white people'. There was never a point where the Jewish could fight the nazis. The Jewish were send to concentration camps and got murdered. The governments helped because the Germans were in charge. Even people who were not Jewish who had to work for the Germans were threatened that if they would not go their parents would go to jail. The only people who fought the 'white Nazi people' were the allies (for example the Americans, British, Canadian soldiers) and people who were brave enough to organize things underground (hide Jewish people). My grandfather (not Jewish) used to operate these big spotlights at night that would shine on German planes, so people could see danger coming. He had to surrender to the Germans eventually but made it out alive.

It's not like they were in the streets fighting, most people were hiding inside their homes. And Jewish people had to stay hidden at all times, soldiers picked them up and put them on the train. It was very dangerous to hide Jewish people in your home and those who did are real heroes in my eyes.

By the way we talk about the Holocaust itself a lot..but let's not forget about how Hitler tried to remove Jews from the German economy. They were not even allowed to work. In 1933 they introduced the first laws to destroy them financially.
This is also a reason why so many Jews started their own businesses.
