Would you go on prep if it was a monthly injection?

Just curious since ive read alot of times on here that people are not interested in the pills. I think the injections are in a trial atm.

This is exactly why you should only be having sex if you're in a relationship and/or have something serious going on with someone

Prep!

I'm sorr' but it's so disgusting how some people (not just gay ppl but straight ppl as well) will frequently have sex with different people. Casual sex in general is a big no for me

Why not just use condoms? It can prevent transmission of other STIs too, which Prep can't.

NO

i sorry, but i look at prep as nothing more than a slut's free for all

and it ONLY fights HIV, right? what about all the other STIs ? yea, am good  :uhh:

i dont agree. Sex is fun and whoever enjoys it should be able to do so. We gotta be careful unfortunately but i dont get this conservative attitude towards sex. Whats next? No sex out of wedlock?

sure. But it would be an added layer of protection, imagine the slight chance of contracting HIV through oral sex which im sure almost nobody used a condom for. Or if the condom breaks or someone slides it off, you can't plan those things.

i wouldnt mind taking a shot, along with condoms that i already use. But taking something everyday just seems like a hassle. I just think we should consider the additional layer of protection if we are sexually active. Im sure its not for everyone though, some people barely have sex.

i get that most people probably use prep instead of condoms and that wouldnt protect from other stds, but nobody told you you can't use the two in combination.

being mindful is one thing in theory, but who can we honestly trust ever? People lie all the time about everything, including sexual health status and even if you get tested together they might have caught something just days before and it didnt show up yet. I remember reading somewhere that most people actually catch HIV from their partner.
