I think all skin tones get "food-ized" in some way though

I def refer to men as chocolate and vanilla sometimes
It's not to demean them but in a way it def is objectifying and sexualizing them

I def feel this is the issue sometimes ..maybe  not specifically for this girl in the OP but def for others

Some people don't like being called dark skinned in any way . It took me a while to understand why it's such a bad thing to some people or why they shy away from it or cringe about it ..

Dark/brown skin is beautiful. Sexy . It's our gift from Africa .

We have all colors in my family and my grandparents never made me feel any color was better than another . We are just different . But I understand

They may be projecting and not even know it . But I mean we live in a very anti-black world so I can't even blame people for having what appears to be deep rooted issues and sensitivity with this topic .

Especially unambiguously black dark skinned women.

Mdndjdjdjfmfn just like calling someone "redbone" or "vanilla scoop" or "light bright " is a fun way of describing a lighter skinned person in many places  ... ( when it's not intentionally being used to be hurtful and offensive )

I think the issue is the negative connotation associated with "dark" that some people hold . Which is understandable

If that's taken away then she probably wouldn't be offended by someone calling her "dark in a fun way" at all. But that's where her personal tea comes into play .
