Jada has been damn near bald almost her entire career. I'm not minimizing her condition but a lot of these theories about how hurt she might have been is just conjecture. Will was out of line regardless of how you feel about Chris Rock. I'm taken aback at the excuses.

there's a difference between rocking/preferring short natural hairstyles and having a condition strip you of all options when it comes to ur natural hair.

jada clearly loved a short cut when it came to her natural tresses but she was rarely shaved completely bald.

I said I wasn't minimizing her condition, but she did rock very short styles by choice as you stated so trying to ASSUME she was so hurt by the joke for this reason or that is not anyone's place. Regardless, whether she was hurt or not it didn't force Will to take this action at a formal event or excuse it.

like, im not gonna minimize it, BUT lemme proceed to minimize its effect on her and her experience

if someone has to say "im not minimizing her condition but " they may already know that what they're saying could easily be seen as minimization. just like when someone says "im not tryna be messy but..."

i simply confirmed that it is minimization.

even that whole "good hair" documentary he did had me side eyeing a bit

it was presented as something educational and informative but it was low key poking fun at black women and their hair struggles.

some would say that "wow chris should know better especially with that documentary he did" and that was my first thought as well but then i was like wait...no. it actually makes sense cuz something very sensitive to black women was pure comedy and kii's for him.

and some of the comments and "jokes" he made during this mess were definitely questionable
