I hope the Oscars takes Will's Oscar away and doesn't invite him back.
Wether the joke was a comment about Jada's hair, or her sexuality (apparently calling a girl a G.I. Jane is a comment on her being a lesbian) or wether is was about her being a tough as nails female actor that could easily star in a G.I. Jane 2 movie is up for interpretation by every single person that hears the joke. It's irrelevant.
A female in the military is BAD ASS and should be something to be admired, honoured and certainly respected.
Assault is assault and it's pretty ridiculous that security was so relaxed at the Oscars that anyone can walk on stage and assault someone with zero consequences.
I watched will smiths show on YouTube a few weeks ago about getting in the best shape of his life...
He was this exact same crying man worried about his ego. He was hard to watch trying to get fit as he just got fatter and fatter until he quit in a very rude way and then turned it into a show about his book about his life story in which he read a few chapters while crying and crying. Yuck.
He took the focus away from everything that followed that moment at the Oscars that deserved it's moment to shine, including his own Oscar. Shameful.
If you really felt the need to address it, find Chris Rock in private and Use Your Words.
Getting into the "I hit him because I love you so much" is not acceptable and a really slippery slope to "I hit YOU because I love you so much"
Chris Rock handled it like a best friend of Oprah.
Unbothered!
