Idk, the installation for tweet embedding has been acting up for a while now and the creators couldn't help either.  
It's been pissing me off too. When things are working fine and then they just suddenly stop working.

But there's a new release for the board software in general and I'm hopeful it will work after I've updated the forum (I'll have to close it down for a day or two though)

If you're talking about the Imgur gifs, there's nothing we can do. I think we're on their blacklist.
