I remember being so happy she chose this as the single and thinking it would smash. Then being super disappointed that nobody cared about it
and the video could've been way better. I think they got Jake Nava to direct because he did a Beyoncé video but it wasn't right for Brandy

I fucking HATED this song. Not because it was a bad song, but because I wanted I Tried as the next single so damn bad .I even had the video concept for I Tried down pat in my head. In retrospect, it's a great song. It had some AMAZING mixes.
