Multiple people have been shot at a New York City subway station, the city fire department said.

Fire personnel responding to reports of smoke at the 36th Street station in the Sunset Park in Brooklyn found multiple people shot and undetonated devices.

A photo from the scene showed people tending to bloodied passengers lying on the floor of the station.

A man was spotted throwing a device in the Brooklyn subway station and then opened fire, law enforcement sources told NBC New York.

It is understood that preliminary information indicates a suspect was dressed in construction gear.

These people Can't even go tf to work in peace ... I feel for the people who kinda have no choice but to take mass transit . In NYC even if u do have a car the subway is usually way quicker especially if ur heading into Manhattan .

This is terrorism . Eric Adams needs to step tf up to the plate . It's honestly time for metal detectors. This is getting worse and worse 

I may not be there but I def have family there who hops on the subway.
