I somewhat agree but I also think anyone know knows any better will know that this was more of a collaboration of two legends and not necessarily a Mariah teaching brandy moment. It's a "but we know better" type thing

It wasnt collaborative ENOUGH for me. It seemed more like Mariah teaching brandy how to sing her song the way she wants her to sing it and less of two seasoned artists in the studio adding their own artistry to one song. Mariah was LITERALLY telling her what to do and soon feeding her those basic ass runs 
Yea this didnt hit for me but it was cute for what it was I guess

im not too familiar with the whole concept so im open to correction if im wrong
but just based on the title and what ive seen i'd assume if it's mimi's "class", she's in the driver's seat and her "guest" or even "student" would be whomever is there with her , as part of the "class". 

i think the issue here may be that in our heads we imagined this whole duet/collab mess 
and may have ran wild with a few things mimi put out there to promote the mess 

from what i see in here the gorls were generally expecting to GHan to take over more in some way. 
this "master class" thing just isn't the outlet for that

!!!! This was about everyone stepping into Mariah's world and her own style.  Singers teach each other their way of doing things, it's not like a singing lesson. It was just vocal production and i would look at it as an honor, with Mariah knowing Brandy can literally do ANYTHING with her voice at the drop of a dime. She even told her "Put that Brandy twist on it".

On a sidenote, i watched most of her masterclass and i didn't learn anything. Maybe it's somewhat insightful for people who don't know anything about music, but there were almost no actionable/ practical tips regarding songwriting, producing etc (so far).
