They didn't read that contract Monique provided and just signed it. When DL told them he was headlining they thought they could just railroad her to open. 

When i used to work with artist promoters pulled this mess all the time. I ALWAYS had in my contracts for my artist ti get their back end upon arrival to hotel. Never get your back end at the club they will try to stiff you every time
