I know it says they reached a settlement
but does that always mean money was paid out? Because it's looking like they just parted ways and dismissed the case. Doesn't even say they "gave an undisclosed sum"

Assuming they just "parted ways" with no money involved is just as good as an assumption that she was paid .

So If ur more comfortable or happy thinking she wasn't paid then I'd say go with that til we get more details
