but stands in her mess regarding her thoughts on DL himself.

i think it's the right thing to do. her beef wasn't his family
they were caught in the crossfire.

there's SO much material to drag DL with when it comes to history with black women

she coulda kept that deeper mess in her back pocket and focused on other things hes said and done. but something tells me she didn't know about everything. someone called her and told her about that mess with his daughter so it's safe to assume she didn't know all the other (less serious) stuff.

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated to be only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

"If" she hurt their feelings.  :dead:
the appropriateness of the actual language she used can be debated

but the most important thing is that she's made it clear she regrets bringing his family into it
whether their feelings were hurt or not.

while she continues to stand by her stance on DL himself.

i think her intent/message is clear

a lot of people are in the habit of using that word "if" during apologies and thats a conversation worth having
but it doesn't mean they're purposely gaslighting someone just because they use it. unless their demeanor is  mockingly dismissive as they use the word.
