I'm convinced most of yall are completely removed from church

Well yeah. Most on here are agnostic, atheist, or just don't subscribe to a religion

I went to a non denominational church

Praise service was amazing
They took popular songs and turned them into church songs

The band was like an alternative rock group they were so cute, I had a lil crush on the lead 

And our youth pastor was so hot lol

Everything was just so uplifting and...fun

those churches are the BEST.  if i do go which isnt often its one of those.  We have a gay church here in dallas I been too once its pretty cool.

The church just isn't very smart in their approach considering their goal is to "save souls" (assuming this is an actual/genuine goal and not just something they say to make themselves feel so important and "chosen" 🙄 lol )

If you wanna bring people in a big part of that is meeting them where they're at . Not putting out a list of ridiculous rules that would scare potential "sinner to saint" candidates away.

A lot of these preachers are just narcissists who hide behind and ultimately line their pockets with the insanely lucrative business of religion/church.

All these "hear ye hear ye" speeches given cuz they're "chosen by god " to be a "vessel" and blah blah blah . and don't get me started on the "prophets".

And the ever so popular phrase "many are called , few are chosen ". Lemme guess. You're a "chosen" one right? Yeah I'm def familiar with the church and all its BS Dnndndnd

Many of them might as well just say "I am god" and get it over with.

Here's the thing.

We know they've been saying this for years, but it's extremely outdated. I was raised in the church and I've never gone to a church that really pushed this ideology. I've been Baptist, Methodist and non denominational. This comes out more in some denominations over others.

I mean the girls will sing Stevie Wonder and Luther vandross at a church wedding in a minute. Like, get real

Why do yall act so surprised when church people say church things?

Now there are a lot of gays in church but usually not the proud gays like on here. The ppl here seem to be strongly anti-Christianity so it's news to them

I was raised in a strict holy roller church that taught this, and a Baptist church that wasn't as repressive but still thought like this to an extent. I had to sneak and listen to "worldly" music for years. Thank God my mother moved on from this bs.
