sddddd the way Missy would be legend for "One in a million" ALONE. The Barbz on twitter have lost their damn minds

As fun as u think it is, it's not a classic record. It's a #1 record that many dont talk about. CIL STILL plays on the radio

i think thats the issue with this whole "classic" thing

its highly subjective and not really factual.

https://twitter.com/taylatequilaa/status/1511484066293600261

missy's industry/producer friends that she referenced in her reply actually got it right IMO

it def comes down to preference. ive always said this.

people just like stating their opinion as if its fact, and this "classic" thing gives plenty of room to do that.
we all wanna feel that our opinion is the be all and end all, when in reality it isn't. sdsdssd

it's a fancily dressed opinion. but an opinion nonetheless.

Nine

There is a difference, but I agree it's very subjective at the end of day.

Especially nowadays with the gorls calling everything "iconic".

exactly

we're talking GENERALLY held notions here

sure you can find A tweet. but if you survey 100 ppl, the overwhelming majority are gonna slate CIL as a classic over check on it

and lemme know once you actually poll those people , cuz you just presented an assumption based on ur own opinion.

assumption being that a poll would lead to more opinions which would align with ur opinion

sffssfsfsf which is fine and i'd even say it's possible but again none of this is factual.

i can gather 8 people. 7 of us can agree on something, 1 will disagree. doesn't make that 1 person wrong unless there's a cold hard fact involved.

like, 1+1 = 2.

L0NZ.

I think "classic" aligns with something that is timeless, which is a little less a matter of personal taste, to me. We can agree where something is timeless, as being a widely accepted truth. A hit is factual, period.

L0NZ.

Btw I promise I heard the "will or wontcha" song twice on the radio today. A hit AND a classic  :feelinmyself:

Some hits I've only heard on YouTube

"I think"

"To me"

The fact that u need to use these words to argue something being more factual and less opinion based alone should say something.

It literally brings it back to my point .

1 + 1 = 2

300 million units = 300 million units

Not to me , not IMO , but these are facts.

And your examples are both numerical which denotes what a "hit" is, as far as sales and charts. I clearly said "a hit is factual" what didnt make sense? :uhh:
